It's great to see you here today at the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Paige!
If I'm at
Magic Kingdom Park for the day, watching the
Disney Festival of Fantasy Parade is an absolutely non-negotiable must-do activity for me every time. There is something super magical about seeing your favorite Disney Characters on those larger-than-life floats, and I promise that you'll be humming the music all day! The Parade covers a lot of ground and there are plenty of great places to see it from, so let's chat about what your options are and how you can mix some delicious food into the plan as well.
While the Patriot's Platter at
Liberty Tree Tavern is one of my favorite meals at Magic Kingdom Park, I wouldn't recommend that particular dining location for prime Parade viewing. There is a small patio area but no reserved outdoor seating, and only a few tables inside have a window with a partial view of the route, but it's not guaranteed that you'd be able to sit there at the exact time you want. If you can time your meal so that you'll be leaving the restaurant about 30 to 45 minutes before the Parade starts, you'll be in a great area to find a spot to watch. Liberty Square is actually my favorite place to watch the Disney Festival of Fantasy Parade, and I usually pick a patch in front of
The Hall of Presidents or by
Ye Olde Christmas Shoppe, which is just on the other side of the street. If you want to enjoy a meal while you watch, I think the best place to do that is at some of the outdoor tables at
Pecos Bill Tall Tale Inn and Cafe in Frontierland or
Casey's Corner on Main Street U.S.A.
Tony's Town Square Restaurant also offers the
Disney Festival of Fantasy Parade Dining Package, which includes a lovely Italian meal and vouchers for a prime reserved spot for the Parade, so that might be something to consider for your family as well!
Wave to Mickey Mouse for me, Paige!
