Hello! I will be doing most of the visits alone with my daughter (10mnth) as husband will be at the conference. Is a pram better or back pack carrier? And any recommendations of things to do (arriving mid Oct for a week) , she is walking and active! Thanks

    Hi Flavia,

I vote in favor of the pram instead of the backpack carrier.  There is a great deal of walking at Walt Disney World.  I think your back or your husband's back will be quite fatigued if you plan to transport your daughter without a stroller (pram).  It could also be relatively warm in October so putting her in a stroller will keep you cooler.  It will give you a place to put your diaper bag thus keeping your hands free.

Traveling to the Disney theme parks with toddlers is so much fun!  Be sure to take it slow and allow your daughter to enjoy all the simple things that many adults overlook.  When my nephew was a toddler on his first trip to Walt Disney World, he simply adored the fountains throughout the resorts and parks.  Try to follow your daughter's lead.  If she shows interest in any special features of the parks, give her time to explore them.

Also try to spend as much time as possible in Fantasyland at the Magic Kingdom.  That part of the park is simply packed with age appropriate attractions for your daughter.  Hit the Broadway quality shows in Disney's Animal Kingdom and check out the Affection Section (petting zoo) in Disney's Animal Kingdom.  World Showcase in Epcot has beautiful wide walkways to explore.  It's a great place for you to let your daughter stretch her legs and explore.

Enjoy some delightful time with your little one during your upcoming trip.  Be sure to take plenty of pictures as I'm sure you'll want to remember the time you spend with her at the most magical place on earth.  Have fun!
