Hi Ashley,
Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, and thank you for your question.
Beaches & Cream Soda Shop is such an iconic Walt Disney World restaurant. I just adore the nostalgic soda shop theming (featuring the cutest beach balls), the music on the jukeboxes…and of course, the sensational sundaes!
I’m so happy I get to put a cherry on top of your vacation plans by confirming that yes, offsite Guests are welcome to make dining reservations at Beaches & Cream Soda Shop. If you’ll be driving to Disney’s Beach Club Resort for your reservation, be ready to provide your reservation number to the security Cast Member at the resort’s entrance. You’ll be waved in to park and enjoy your meal.
In my world, Ashley, every time is ice cream time! However, I do have a suggestion. If you can time it just right, it's possible to walk out of the restaurant and watch the
IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth fireworks from the bridge that connects Disney's Beach Club Resort area to Disney's BoardWalk. It’s so magical! Also, since this is a tricky reservation to get, remember that if it’s really just the ice cream you’re after, there is a walk-up window that serves many of their famous sundaes to-go.
One more tip: I know everyone talks about the Kitchen Sink, and I do believe that everyone should try to conquer that mammoth sundae (and see the whip cream ceremony) at least once. Having said that, for me, it’s all about the No Way, José. Chocolate fudge, peanut butter sauce, and a mountain of whip cream? It’s the dreamiest.
Enjoy your ice cream, and have a magical vacation,
Robyn
