Hi, Victoria. Welcome to
planDisney. I'm so glad you've stopped by to chit-chat about your
Walt Disney World vacation early next year.
Split stays at Walt Disney World are so much fun. While I've never stayed at Shades of Green,
Disney's Polynesian Village Resort happens to be one of my favorite places so I know you are going to have a great time. Even when I am not staying there, you can find me hanging out at the
Tambu Lounge which is located upstairs next to the oh-so-famous 'Ohana. It's a perfect spot to grab appetizers, and drinks and watch the Magic Kingdom Park fireworks.
Victoria, you'll need to make
advanced dining reservations twice for your split stay. They do act as two separate reservations so you won't be able to make them for the length of your entire stay. You'll be able to make the first set of reservations 60 days prior to your Shades of Green stay and then again 60 days prior to the day you check-in at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort. I actually think this is a good thing because if availability for a must-try place is all booked up, you have another shot at making a reservation for it in just a few days.
I know you probably have some restaurants in mind but if you are looking for more suggestions,
The BOATHOUSE at Disney Springs is my absolute favorite. I actually try to eat there at least twice during my Walt Disney World vacations. My go-to order is the lobster roll served warm with butter and I always upgrade to the truffle fries. It is just a delicious meal.
I hope this helps with your planning, Victoria. If you have any other questions about this, or anything else, please stop back by and
ask me. I'm here to help.
Happy planning!
Jackie H.
