Hi there, Laurie,
Welcome to
planDisney! It sounds like your planning is well underway, I'm glad you stopped by with a question about split stays and booking
Lightning Lane Multi Pass. My family enjoys split stays - they allow us to experience the amenities and theming of more than one resort during a
Disney World trip. There are so many wonderful things to discover at each resort, we always have a hard time deciding where to stay!
When you book a split stay, each portion is considered a separate reservation. As a Guest staying at a Disney Resort hotel, you can purchase Lightning Lane Multi Passes up to 7 days before each check-in. So in your case, you'll make your first selections 7 days before you arrive at
Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort, and then again 7 days before your check-in at the
Walt Disney World Swan Hotel.
The same timing applies to dining. Your dining window for the Polynesian opens 60 days before that check-in date, and you'll make your next dining reservations 60 days before you arrive at the Swan. Each stay follows its own booking window.
There are many perks to a split stay. The two resorts you are considering are very close to different theme parks, which allows for access to various
transportation options. You'll be able to experience different pools and dining options in addition to a whole new trip feeling mid-vacation!
I hope this helps with planning park days. If any other questions pop up, please come back and ask - here at planDisney, we're always happy to help!
Happy planning,
Candace
