Hello! We are doing a split stay (1 night @ SSR & the remainder @ AKL). We plan to purchase the dining plan for the 1st reservation. With the refillable mug do we only get it the length of the dining plan or is it activated for 14d? Thanks.

Hey Howdy Hey Jessica and welcome to planDisney!

I love split stays! They are so nice to check out two resorts and maybe splurge a little to experience a new resort while coming back to a familiar favorite. There are so many options for resorts when staying with Disney Resorts Collection, you have a ton to choose from! OK, let's talk refillable mugs with the dining plan.

In all my experience with visiting the Walt Disney World Resort, we have yet to visit without at least getting 1 or 2 refillable mugs for our vacations. Every time we purchase them, they always come with a validation period of 14 days, regardless of being attached to a dining plan or not. during your vacation, you should be all set with refillable mugs as long as your trip is less than 14 days. I'm sure you know but they are also good at any resort. Feel free to take them with you during your resort-hopping endeavors!

Jessica, depending on your mode of transportation to Walt Disney World, don't forget to take full advantage of the resort amenities. Bell Services can come in handy when navigating your split stays. On the morning of checking out of your first resort, if you want to visit the parks or have a reservation you need to get to, you can feel free to drop your luggage off at Bell Services. You can request they be delivered to your next resort and they will Magically appear there. You can collect your luggage from Bell Services or have it all delivered to your room. This can come in handy when you need to get your park time in and not have to worry about your luggage!

I hope you and your family have a great time visiting these two resorts on your upcoming trip. They both are great but Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge has so much to offer, you are going to want to spend some time to enjoy all the recreational offerings! Let us know if you have any further questions, we are always happy to help!
