Hi there, Lisa. Welcome to
planDisney.
Lisa, I can't think of a better way to kick off a new year than with a trip to
Walt Disney World. That is going to be so much fun! Also, the resorts that you've picked out are just perfect.
Disney's All-Star Movies Resort is my favorite in the value category and
Disney's Polynesian Village Resort is my favorite in the deluxe category. Great picks!
Even though it is one long trip for you, a split stay is considered two different reservations. With that, you'll need to make advanced dining reservations two different times. One 60 days prior to your Disney's All-Star Movies Resort check-in day and then again 60 days prior to your Disney's Polynesian Village Resort check-in day. This can be a bit of a hassle but I actually like it because if you aren't able to get a reservation somewhere you really want, you get another try at it.
One fun thing I like to do when I am staying at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort is to grab a sip and a snack at the
Tambu Lounge. Tambu Lounge is located upstairs right outside of 'Ohana. They serve cocktails, mocktails and appetizers from the restaurant. My family and I love to go there and get the 'Ohana pot stickers and noodles. Then, for dessert, we all share the 'Ohana bread pudding. It's great because it's less expensive and you don't need a reservation. Plus, the Cast Members that work there are fabulous and the bar/lounge has a great view of the fireworks over Magic Kingdom Park.
I hope this helps you plan, Lisa. If you have any other questions, please feel free to stop back by and
ask me. I'm happy to help.
Good luck!
Jackie H.
