Hi! I am doing a split stay in February. Does that impact my dining reservation start date? I am staying at Saratoga springs beginning Feb 11 the will be at the yacht club for 4 nights beginning feb 15.

Hey there, Aubrey. Welcome to planDisney! Thanks for stopping by with your question.

You will love experiencing a split stay during your upcoming Walt Disney World vacation. It's such a fun and unique way to see and explore two different Walt Disney World Resort Hotels. You have picked two really fun ones to enjoy! I recently stayed at Yacht Club and had a wonderful time.

A split stay has two different reservation numbers. When it comes to dining reservations, you'll actually have two different reservation-making days. You'll be able to make your first set of dining reservations 60 days prior to the check-in of the first resort you are staying at for the length of that stay. Then again a few days later, 60 days prior to your check-in at Disney's Yacht Club. At first, this can seem like kind of a hassle but I actually really like it. If for some reason, you aren't able to secure one of your must-dine spots, you get a second chance to grab a reservation for it.

If you are looking for a dining reservation, my go-to spot right now is The BOATHOUSE at Disney Springs. The menu is fantastic and there is something for everyone. My favorite menu item is the lobster roll served warm with butter and I always upgrade to the truffle fries. Delicious!

I hope this helps, Aubrey. If you have any other questions, please feel free to stop back by and ask me. I'm happy to help.

    Enjoy!

Meet the Panelist: Jackie, North Carolina

I love all things Walt Disney World.  In fact, since becoming Annual Passholders, my family of 3 is always hopping in the car for a quick trip to visit with Mickey Mouse!  I've been known to make the 8 hour each way drive to Walt Disney World (in one day!) to indulge in a Mickey Waffle or enjoy a sunny day at Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park.  I may have a small family, but we are always up for some BIG fun at the Walt Disney World Resort.   Learn More About Jackie
