Hello, Lisa! Thanks for stopping by planDisney with your question.
Split stays at Walt Disney World are so much fun. I love staying at all of the different resorts when we visit and checking two off of the list in one trip is magical! When you are checking out of the first resort you'll be staying at, bell services will gladly come to your room and pick up your luggage and transport it to the next
Walt Disney World Resort Hotel you'll be staying at. They will transport anything you have such as suitcases, backpacks, grocery bags and even a Mickey balloon! When you are ready to go, you'll use the resort room phone to call Bell Services. You must be in the room for them to come and get your things. Once bell services arrive at your room, they will count the total number of pieces you have, ask if anything needs to be refrigerated, find out what resort they are taking the luggage to, and then hand you a tag that works as a luggage receipt. After bell services pick up your things, you are free to go about your day enjoying the
Walt Disney World Theme Parks. When you've arrived at your next Walt Disney World Resort Hotel and your room is ready, you can once again call down to bell services and have them deliver your luggage straight to your room.
This service is simply amazing. It really takes all of the work out of moving your belongings so you can enjoy the fun even longer. This is a complimentary service provided, however, I do like to tip the Cast Members assisting me with this. Tipping is completely optional but the bell services team does work incredibly hard and I always have a ton of bags and they are always appreciative for a little something extra.
Lisa, getting a Mickey balloon is so much fun. It was my daughter's 14th birthday not too long ago so we splurged and grabbed her one to help celebrate the day. The pictures in front of Cinderella Castle with the balloon are just so cute. If you are wanting to take your balloon to the Walt Disney World Theme Parks with you, it is not a problem but keep in mind they are not allowed at Disney's Animal Kingdom for the safety of the animals. When at the other parks and are riding attractions, if you don't have a stroller or something to attach it to while you ride, the Cast Member at the entrance of each attraction will store it for you. Usually, they just wrap it around a handrail or pole and you can grab it as you are exiting the attraction.
I hope you have such a wonderful time with your split stay on your next Walt Disney World vacation. If I can help answer any other questions you might have, please come back and ask.
I'm happy to help.
Enjoy!
