We are doing a split stay10/20-10/26 between animal kingdom and bay lake towers and are dvc members. Will they move our luggage and groceries? Thank you

    Hi, Edward!

So glad to hear from you!

We've done several split stays using our Disney Vacation Club Membership and have found the transfer from one resort to the other to be quite painless. (And you've picked two of our home resorts...also our favorites, so I know you'll enjoy the stay at each resort!)

On the day that you'll check out from your first resort, pack up your things as if you were actually leaving WDW. Suitcases, bags, even groceries back into bags for your next stay. Keep all of your refrigerated items in bags together, though, as both resorts have refrigerated storage areas available for Guests who are checking in / out or transferring to another property. (We never transfer frozen items, as they simply don't hold up well in the commute.) Call Bell Services and have them pick up your bags; one of you will need to be in the room for pick up. Let Bell Services know that your bags need to be transferred to the other resort, and they'll be held there for you until your next room is available for check-in. We usually send just one member of our party over to the 2nd resort when the room is ready, so that the groceries, at least, can be put away for everyone to enjoy upon our return to our new "home."

You've booked the best of both worlds for this trip, Edward! The quaint, exotic ambiance of Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge paired with the upscale yet welcoming flair of Bay Lake Tower at Disney's Contemporary Resort & Spa. Enjoy!

Send more questions as you think of them, too. I love to help!
