How does doing a split stay affect my ability to make dining reservations? Will I be able to make all of my reservations at 60 days out from my arrival or will I need to do some at 60 days from arrival and the rest at 60 days prior to our switch?

    Hello Laci!

Welcome to planDisney! It is a pleasure to answer your first question and help you plan a magical visit to the Walt Disney World Resort!

Laci, Disney Resorts Collection Guests can make reservations up to 60 days in advance plus the length of their stay, so if you have a split stay, at the 60-day mark of the check-in date for your first Disney Resort hotel reservation you will be able to make dining reservations for the length of that stay. When you hit the 60-day mark for your second hotel reservation, you will then be able to make advance reservations for the length of that stay.

I have a split stay planned for July with reservations at three different Disney Resort hotels, and I could only make advance dining reservations for the length of each stay. I was able to secure reservations at my favorite dining destinations, but I usually prefer to book the longer stay for the first part of my visit, this way I have more days to find availability.

planDisney tip: Remember to keep the latest version of the My Disney Experience app on your mobile device! You can use the app while at the parks to take advantage of Mobile Food & Beverage Ordering and to add your party to the walk-up list at select table-service restaurants at the Walt Disney World Resort if you don’t have a dining reservation (subject to availability).

I hope this information is helpful, Laci! Come back to visit us if you have additional questions, we are delighted to help!

    Best magical wishes,
    Thiana
