We're doing the Run Disney 1/2 mar. in November.. staying at Riverside. Do the buses pick you up that early for the race or do we need to find our own transportation?

    Hi Erin!

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. Congratulations on taking on the Disney Wine & Dine Half Marathon! I'll be there that weekend too taking on the Two Course Challenge!

One of the greatest benefits of staying at a Walt Disney World Resort hotel during a runDisney weekend is that all race weekend transportation is provided. This means you'll have provided transportation from Disney's Port Orleans-Riverside to the runDisney Health & Fitness Expo and the races themselves the morning of. The only difference you'll find is that the traditional transportation system around Disney's Port Orleans has multiple stops and for the runDisney transportation it will not. When you check in to your resort, ask the Cast Member assisting you where runDisney transportation will pick up for the weekend because it is not the same location as the traditional bus system. In my experience, it's usually in front of the lobby near the location the Disney's Magical Express will drop off and pick up, but this can vary between each hotel and each race weekend so please double check.

It is recommended for the Disney Wine & Dine Half Marathon that you board your bus around 3:30 AM and no later than 4 AM to make it to the start in time. It's certainly an early morning, but I think you'll agree that it is so worth it! Please let me know if you have any other questions and I hope you have a magical race.
