We are doing a resort ....cruise ....resort stay and are thinking about flying in. I know the Magical Express is included, but what about the Cruise Line bus from the resort to the ship and back to the resort .... is there a fee.

    Ahoy, Alison!

The land and sea vacations are my favorite type of vacations. Spending some time at the resorts and the parks is always a lot of fun, but you do burn a lot of energy. It's always nice to go from the Disney Resorts to the relaxing Disney Cruise... and continue more of the magic, by heading right back to the Disney parks!

As you already know, arriving at the MCO airport is convenient since the complimentary Disney Magical Express bus will take you from the MCO airport to your Disney resort. Securing Disney Cruise Line Ground Transportation is the best way to travel from your Disney Resort to Port Canaveral on embarkation day. There is an extra cost of $35 per person each way ($70 per person round trip). You can add this to your cruise reservation easily by calling the DCL Travel Desk at 1-800-951-3532. The night before your ship sails, you'll be getting a reminder letter in your Disney resort room for pickup instructions the following morning. Your check-in baggage will be picked up directly from inside your hotel room as early as 8am that morning and you'll need to have the special DCL tags attached. You'll see your luggage next in your stateroom that afternoon - so make sure you have a day bag prepared. You'll also get instructions on where to meet and board your bus at your resort. You'll be whisked away to the Port from your hotel and you'll be enjoying the sail away party sooner than you know!

For disembarkation day, your luggage will be picked up on the last evening and you'll see it at baggage claim at the port in the morning. You board the DCL motor coaches back to your resort, and you'll be ready to hit the parks by late morning! And of course, don't forget to reserve your complimentary Magical Express bus ride from your Disney Resort back to the MCO airport when it's time to go home.

Wishing you magical moments throughout your trip, Alison!
