I have been doing research into vacation packages with hopes of going next year. They mention that you could put down a deposit and pay before you arrive. Is there a way to make payments in the months leading up if you can't afford to pay all at once.

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Lyndee!

I’m thrilled to hEAR you’re planning a trip to The Most Magical Place on Earth! I truly feel planning is part of the fun when it comes to the magic of Walt Disney World Resort. It’s exciting when you start to think of all the FastPass+ selections you’ll be making, and figuring out which delectable dining reservations you’ll want to enjoy! Before we get into all of the enchanting vacation details, Lyndee, you are definitely starting planning your Walt Disney World Resort vacation on the right foot. Nothing feels better than going on your vacation that you have worked hard to already pay-off!

I have great news for you, Lyndee. You are able to book and then pay your way for your vacation. Most reservations can be paid online through your My Disney Experience account. To pay, just head over to your My Disney Experience account and go to My Reservations and Tickets. You will find a “Make a Payment” link under your confirmation number. You can choose one of the two options, to either pay the full amount or “other amount.” You can always call and make payments as often as you'd like, as well!

If you are looking to make a Disney Vacation Package reservation for 2021, you will likely have to wait until this summer for rates, since historically that is around the time rates have been released. However, you can book a Room-Only reservation 500 days in advance; once packages are released, you would be able to upgrade to the Vacation Package. I like to do this because I like to book my Resort hotel room first just to make sure I get a room at the Resort hotel I'm really wanting.  I upgrade as soon as I see packages are released! A Vacation Package would require a $200 deposit while a Room-Only reservation would be one night plus tax.

Here’s to planning the most enchanting vacation to The Most Magical Place on Earth, Lyndee!
