I am doing the princess 5K for the first time in Feb. 2015, do find that the parks are more crowded and the wait times longer during this time? Trying to decide if we can squeeze a park day in.

    Greetings, Liz!

I hope you are excited to be participating in the Princess 5k during the 2015 Disney Princess Half Marathon Weekend. With Queen Elsa & Princess Anna of Arendelle at the helm as your race conductors, you are sure to have an enchanting experience.

This royal race weekend a great time to visit the theme parks - you can absolutely squeeze it in! In fact, I encourage it, as it will be the perfect opportunity to walk off any post-race soreness you may experience after your first race. Crowds will be relatively low due to the President's Day Holiday the weekend prior to the race, so it really is a good time to go.

Another reason a park day is do-able is the features available to you through your My Disney Experience account. With the availability to prebook your FastPass+ selections online, you won't miss out on the chance to experience your favorite attractions. Just login, or create an account on the Walt Disney World® Resort website to utilize this service. The best part is, if you purchase your theme park tickets in advance and link them to your account, you may begin choosing your FastPass+ attractions 60 days in advance! And if you decide to wait until you arrive to purchase your theme park tickets, you may make selections 30 days prior to your arrival.

I hope you find this information helpful, Liz! And don't forget to wear your Finisher's Medallion to the theme parks to showcase your race accomplishment. Please do not hesitate to ask if I can be of any further assistance.

    Have a magical race!
