Hi Gabrielle!
First visits are always magical but, on Star Wars Weekend (SWW)? Whoa mama!! You are going to have a marvelous time! Oh and by the way, we are going down for one or two Star Wars Weekends as well! Woo hoo! Most of this year's festivities haven't been announced but I'm sure they won't change much from years past. There is usually a large parade which features a ton of Star Wars characters... Definitely, do not miss that because you never know who you are going to see. There are Star Wars characters everywhere you turn with meet and greets all over the Star Tours area of the park. Speaking of... Star Tours 2.0 will be opening on May 20th so go check it out when you arrive. If your kids want to Battle the Dark Side, make sure to get to the park super early and when it opens, head straight to Star Tours and sign them up for the Jedi Training Academy. Ask a Cast member in the area for the cue location as it may change for the SWW. There aren't any Star Wars dining experiences that I am aware of but I do know a certain Droid named R2-D2 who made a great server for Jabba the Hut in Return of the Jedi! You might have a great idea there! As always, make sure to check the regular Times Guide and special Star Wars Times Guide at Hollywood Studios for character appearance locations, parade, and show times. If you cannot find the character you are searching for, go by Guest Services and ask a cast member if they can call the "Character Hotline". Hopefully, they will let you know where they might be located. I hope you and your family have a Magical Time at the Walt Disney World Resort! Thanks so much for asking the Moms Panel! May the Force be with you!
