    While doing some planning on my family's upcoming trip, I noticed that the Skipper Canteen now says they accept same day reservations. Can you please explain that to me? The Jungle Cruise is a family favorite!

    Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

    I am so excited about your question because I just ate at Jungle Navigation Co. Ltd. Skipper Canteen a few days ago!  I have to tell you the whole experience was AHH-mazing!!!

    I arrived at Magic Kingdom at 3:00 pm and went straight to the restaurant.  The Cast Member I talked to verified that they only take same-day reservations and that I could make reservations through the My Disney Experience App.  I was very surprised that I was able to make reservations at 7:00 PM!  We came back for our reservation, and the Cast Member asked for my cell phone.  Once our table was ready, I received a text and came back to be seated!

    The Cast Member who took us to our table told corny jokes just like you hear during the Jungle Cruise attraction.  I really thought that was a nice touch and a perfect tie-in with the restaurant and attraction!  I also loved the food!  I ordered the "Tastes like Chicken" - because it is!, and my friend ordered the Char Siu Pork.  Both dishes were delicious!  OH...and also try the Fanta Melon Frosty drink!  It was SO good!

    While I was able to make reservations late, that might be different for you. I recommend making your reservations first thing during the day. I promise you will NOT be disappointed!
