Ahoy and welcome back to planDisney, Bart! Disney Cruise Line and Walt Disney World in one vacation, I'll pick this combination every time I can. With a family sharing power outlets for phones, watches and MagicBand+, knowing your charging strategy is an important part of ensuring you leave all your cares at home.
On Disney Cruise Line, as you know, extension cords are on the
list of prohibited items. We have used USB charging station strips, the ones that plug into a USB outlet and allow us to plug in several devices at once. We have also used USB power blocks that plug into the outlet, allowing us to charge three or four USB-connected devices. These have saved late-night conversations about battery percentages and who needs to plug in more. You can also check with Guest Services on board for a cruise-approved extension cord, if needed.
Since you are heading to
Walt Disney World Resort after your adventure at sea (which is the best way to soothe the end-of-cruise-blues), you can also check with Guest Services at your resort to see if Housekeeping can get an extension cord for your room.
Since you are enjoying Disney on land and at sea, have you heard about
DisneyBand+? If you have
MagicBand+ from a Walt Disney World or Disneyland Resort vacation, you can now use these on Disney Cruise Line. It will add to the number of devices you are trying to figure out how to charge, but it would top my list. It was so convenient to have just about everything I needed on the cruise right on my wrist. Just like the resorts, it will get you into your stateroom and work for onboard purchases.
I hope you have a magical vacation at the Most Magical Place on Earth and aboard the most magical ship on the sea.
Please come back to
