We are doing 4 parks, 1 day. If I park at epcot and finish at Magic Kingdom will monorail still run to epcot to collect the car. Epcot had an after hours event the day we are planning on doing this.

Welcome to planDisney, Karen! I'm super excited you stopped by today with your question about park hopping at the Walt Disney World Resort! This is my favorite way to spend a Disney day; I love being able to experience all the magic of each theme park on a single day! Let's hop to it so you can plan for a magical day!

Karen, I did a little digging into the Park Hours for the day you'll be park hopping, and it looks like Magic Kingdom is set to close at 11 PM and EPCOT is set to close at 9 PM; with this in mind, the EPCOT monorail typically operates for about two hours after the park closes, so you're likely to find it still running when you leave Magic Kingdom on this night.

While the monorail doesn't usually operate until the end of Disney After Hours events, Disney will alternatively provide bus transportation to and from the park hosting After Hours to the Disney Resort hotels. So, if you decide to linger a little longer than park closing at Magic Kingdom and find the monorail has stopped for the night, I'd recommend walking over to Disney's Contemporary Resort and catching a bus to EPCOT to collect your vehicle.

Karen, if you're looking for a way to maximize your time (and the magic) while park hopping, we always like to purchase Lightning Lane Multi Pass for these days! We purchase Multi Pass for the first park we plan to visit, but once we redeem our first selection of the day, we start looking for additional attractions at the other theme parks for later in the day! It's a great way to hop on some popular attractions with shorter waits, and I love that we pay for one park but can use it at each park as we go!

Another tip I'll offer is to be sure to have a Disney PhotoPass photographer capture your photo at each of the parks to commemorate your park-hopping adventures! You might even stop by Guest Relations to grab an "I'm Celebrating" button once you've completed your fourth park; it's certainly an accomplishment worth bragging about!

Karen, I hope this helps! I know you're going to have an amazing day full of magic and excitement! If you have any other questions, come see us again here at planDisney! We're always happy to help!

    See you real soon,
    Alison
