Hi! If we are doing 1 park per day for 2 days and the reservations only show California Adventure open as a starting park, does that mean Disneyland isn't available that day for a single park visit?

    Hey there, Kate!

It's fun to see you here at planDisney! I'm excited for you that you'll be enjoying all the magic of Disneyland Resort and the theme parks.

The Theme Park Reservation Availability calendar is a key part of planning a visit to Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park. The calendar will show you when reservations are available for the theme parks. You'll quickly see when reservations are available for only Disneyland Park, for only Disney California Adventure Park, for both parks, or for neither park.

If the Theme Park Reservation Availability calendar shows that Disney California Adventure Park is the only park with reservations available as the starting park, you would be able to park hop to Disneyland Park that same day if you have a Park Hopper Ticket. You would need to visit Disney California Adventure Park first if that is where you make your starting park reservation. If Disneyland Park shows no reservation availability as the starting park, you would not be able to make a reservation to start in that theme park and visit for the day.

I do recommend checking the Theme Park Reservation Availability calendar frequently because reservations for dates can become available on a rolling basis.

Kate, I hope this info is helpful as you plan your visit to take in all the magic of the Disneyland Resort theme parks. Be sure to follow the Disney Parks Blog for updates on all the news and happenings at Disneyland Resort.

Here's wishing you lots of Disney magic in your day today!

Meet the Panelist: Jerry, Pennsylvania

The playful and creative optimism of all things Disney has enthralled me since I was a kid. I loved watching "The Wonderful World of Disney" on Sunday nights, seeing all the live-action and animated classics in theaters, and — of course — visiting "The Most Magical Place on Earth" for the first time 45 years ago. These days, the big kid in me still loves to play Disney. As a long-time Disney destinations vacationer, I'm looking forward to helping you play Disney starting here at planDisney!
