Hi! I am doing a one night stay at a Disney resort with no park tickets. If I purchase the quick service dining plan, will I be able to use one of the quick service meals on check-in day, and the other on check-out day? Thank you!

Hey there, Sharon! Welcome back to planDisney, and thanks for sharing your delicious dining plan question with us.

My family loves to eat our way around Walt Disney World, so we often take advantage of the Disney Dining Plan. Not only does it help us create a restaurant game plan, but it’s often a great value for my crew of foodies.

Before I get to your question, it’s important to remember that the Disney dining plans (both the standard and quick-service options) are only available if you purchase a vacation package, which includes both a hotel stay and park tickets. If you would like to add the Quick-Service Dining Plan to your reservation, you will also need to purchase theme park tickets.

Now, if you decide to book a vacation package that includes a dining plan, I’m happy to report that you are absolutely allowed to use your dining credits on both check-in and check-out days. In fact, your dining credits don’t expire until midnight on the day of checkout. Also, don’t forget that the dining plans include a resort-refillable mug, which allows you to get refills from self-service beverage islands at any Walt Disney World Resort hotel quick-service dining location.

Here’s a helpful dining plan tip. If you need to see the number of meal and snack credits left on your plan, you can use the My Disney Experience mobile app to check your balance. Just go to the “Hotel Reservations” section, scroll to your current resort, and click on the “My Resort” link. This will allow you to view details about your reservation, including a link to check your dining plan credits.

Sharon, I hope this information is helpful. Don’t hesitate to come back if you have any other questions. You’re as welcome as can be at planDisney!

    Magical travels!
