Ahoy, Heather! I'm absolutely delighted to welcome you back to planDisney! As you know well, planning time aboard a
Disney Cruise Line ship is as magical as can be.
I feel your question deeply. After my first 7-night sailing, I was enamored with longer cruises. But, I have learned that when I can't get away for long, a little bit of Disney is better than none at all.
I can't promise you won't leave the ship wishing you had more time on board (which happens no matter what), but I can assure you that you won't feel like you're missing any magic.
Let's unwrap the
Very Merrytime cruises. I've celebrated the season twice aboard the
Disney Dream, both were 4-night cruises. I love it when they haul out the holly and deck the halls with an extra dusting of Disney magic! It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas. And with the giant gingerbread houses in the lobby, it smells like it, too!
On your Very Merrytime sailing, most nights will be
cruise casual dining. While there is no formal evening, you should have two themed nights. You can don an eyepatch and party like a scallywag on
Pirate Night. And you can go rocking around the Christmas tree with everyone dancing merrily at Mickey and Minnie's Holiday Party.
There are so many memorable moments that feel like a warm hug. At the tree-lighting ceremony, the treetop glistens and the children listen to hear Mickey and Minnie kick off the holiday. At the character greetings, you can find our beloved friends in their holly, jolly finest. We also packed pajamas for family photos, brimming with cheer. Pictures with Santa and in front of the tree in the lobby are practically perfect for holiday cards, and walking down a candy cane-lined Memory Lane.
With your sea legs already earned, I have no doubt you have the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator app on your cell phone. You know that once you are connected to the ship's wi-fi, it will
automagically update to its onboard functionality. It's the best source of information on all the whoozits and whatzits galore. Mark the activities you want to enjoy with the heart so you get reminders when it's time for them to begin.
Heather, I am
ho-ho-ho-ping your Very Merrytime cruise will be sweeter than sugarplums dancing in your head. If you have any other questions as you plan to celebrate the most wonderful time of the year aboard the most magical ships at sea, please cruise back by
planDisney. We are always happy to "sea" you here!
Merry! Merry!
