We will be doing the 7-night Bahamian cruise and plan on doing the WDW shore excursion from Port Canaveral; we would like to know if we can reserve ahead for dinner at WDW that day (our My Plans section doesn't open until August).

    Hi there, Anne!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!  I am thrilled to hEAR you are headed to sea with Captain Mickey for an adventure at ALL my favorite places – onboard the Disney Magic, at Castaway Cay AND at Walt Disney World Resort!  What a way to do it all!  I am so excited for you and all the fun that this vacation will undoubtedly be!

When my family sailed a similar itinerary and visited the theme parks, we had the entire day to spend at the theme parks, and it appEARs that you do too!  Buses will transport you to the theme parks upon arrival in Port Canaveral and you can use your included Park Hopper Ticket to visit as many of the theme parks as you like during your day and can stay until the last theme park closes, if you choose!  You will, of course, receive further information about pick up and drop off options once onboard, but you can plan to spend as much time as you want in the theme parks.  You can make Advanced Dining Reservations through the My Disney Experience Mobile app or online, if you choose to, but dining at Walt Disney World Resort will not be an option for booking through Disney Cruise Line.  Since Advanced Dining Reservations can be made up to 180 days ahead, I would recommend exploring your dining options now for the day you are in the theme parks.  Your tickets will also have three FastPass+ selections on it, and these do not need to be decided or planned in advance.  Instead, you will just go to the FastPass+ entrance at the attractions and scan your Key to the World card to gain access to the FastPass+ queue.  Once you’ve used your three, you can visit the kiosks in the theme parks to arrange additional ones, if available.  Please note that there may be limitations as to which rides you can gain access to the FastPass+ queue, but you will be made aware of those once onboard!

You are going to have such a magical adventure and I am so excited for you!  As you continue planning for this ultimate vacation, please come back with any other questions you may have!

    Happy Sailing!
