Hi Heather!
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! What fun to get the best of both –
Walt Disney World AND a Disney Cruise Line vacation! And how relaxing will it be to head to the Disney Dream after the hustle and bustle of the theme parks – you planned it right!! The fun is right around the corner and I know you can’t wait for vacation to finally be here!
If you have arranged ground transfers through Disney Cruise Line to get you from your Walt Disney World Resort to Port Canaveral for your cruise, then yes, your luggage will be transported from your resort hotel and checked for you at the port. You will want to be sure to affix the luggage tags that you receive in the mail prior to your cruise on your luggage pieces so that they can magically find their way to your stateroom later that day!
On the final night of your Disney Cruise, you will set luggage out and your stateroom host or hostess will see that it makes it way off the ship for you. If you have ground transfers to Orlando International Airport and are traveling on one of the following airlines: Alaska, American, Delta, JetBlue or United, you can opt to participate in
onboard airline check in. In this case, your luggage will be transferred for you directly to your airline and checked to your final destination. If your airline is not part of this program, you will retrieve your luggage and take it with you to the motorcoach for your transfer to the airport where you will check it upon arrival. More information about the onboard airline check in can be found on the Navigator app or on a Daily Navigator once onboard.
Wishing you a magical and memorable vacation on land AND at sea, Heather!
Happy Traveling!
Stephanie
