    Were doing hollywood studios the day after Christmas. With all the galaxys edge craziness what time should we get to rope drop?

    Hi, Meghan!  Or as they say on the planet Batuu, "Bright suns!"

    I am so happy to hEAR that you will be spending Christmas at the Walt Disney World Resort!  The holiday season is one of my favorite times to visit the Most Magical Place on Earth.  This year, the holiday season will be even more magical for Star Wars fans, because the second Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge attraction, Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance, is expected to open on December 5, 2019.  This new attraction promises to be unlike anything we have ever experienced before!

    So far, crowds at Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge have been quite manageable.  Black Spire Outpost is very large and can accommodate a great number of galactic travelers comfortably.  That being said, the week of Christmas is always a very busy time at the Walt Disney World Resort.  For that reason, I think it's a very good idea to plan on arriving at the theme parks early during your visit.  I would plan on arriving for rope drop at Disney's Hollywood Studios around an hour before the park is set to open.  Currently, Disney's Hollywood Studios is listed as opening at 9:00 a.m. on December 26, 2019.  However, theme park hours are always subject to change, so be sure to double-check park hours using your My Disney Experience mobile app during your vacation. 

    Several Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge experiences are currently accepting reservations up to 180 days in advance.  If you wish to visit Oga's Cantina, Droid Depot, or Savi's Workshop - Handbuilt Lightsabers, be sure to book your reservations as soon as possible.
