Doing the Grand Gathering Safari Celebration Dinner in Animal Kingdom. Do you suggest doing the Kilimanjaro Safari during the day too? Is it the exact same safari? I am concerned my kids (10&6) will be bored.

    Hi Jessica --

You're going to have a great time on the Safari Celebration Dinner!  I had the opportunity to go a few years ago, and it was a wonderful experience.

The Safari is the same trip that is offered to guests in the park, so if you want to skip it during your park visit to be able to experience a few extra attractions, that would be fine.  You won't be missing much.  However, the great thing about the Safari is that since your seeing live animals, the experience is different every time.If you did want to visit Kilimanjaro Safari during the day, I recommend doing it first thing in the morning.  Most people find that more animals are roaming around at this time of day than at any other.

Hope this helps.  Have a magical vacation!

After spending 25 years in RI, my husband and I relocated to GA with our youngest, who is now in high school. I took my first trip to Walt Disney World when I was 11 and I have traveled many times since then with all different party sizes. From creating our first itinerary as a honeymooner to later creating magical experiences for our multigenerational family gatherings, every aspect of planning a vacation has been pure joy to me.  Learn More About Diane
