Hi! We will be doing our first split stay in September, staying 1 night at Port Orleans French Quarter and then 10 nights at Animal Kingdom Lodge. How can we get our luggage transferred between resorts and what is the fee for this?

    Hi Lindsay,

Thank you so much for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question. You are staying at two beautiful resorts! I recently spent a long weekend at Disney's Port Orleans Resort - French Quarter. This resort is beautiful and so reminiscent of the French Quarter in New Orleans. Then, to be able to spend so much time at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge - how wonderful! I love the rich, dark decor at this resort, and the ability to see exotic animals outside of nearly every window is wonderful.

Having your luggage moved between Walt Disney World resorts is easy; I have done it before. Simply give your luggage to Bell Services at Disney's Port Orleans Resort - French Quarter and let them know that you are transferring to Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge and ask them to move your luggage for you. They will, and it will be waiting for you at Bell Services at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge. There is no charge for this service; however, I do tip the Bell Services cast members on each side of the transfer.

I hope that this information is helpful for you, Lindsay. Have a great time planning your magical vacation, and do let us know if you have any further questions.
