Ahoy there, Stacey!
It's wonderful to have you back aboard at planDisney, it's been a while! Planning your very first Disney Cruise is such a fantastic adventure, I hope you and your crew are getting excited for your voyage!
The
Amazing Jeep Safari And Sailing Catamaran Port Adventure in St. Lucia looks like a gorgeous way to explore the island! My favorite part about Port Adventures through
Disney Cruise Line is that your Port Adventure Vouchers that you receive onboard will tell you when and where to meet your group before you even leave the ship. Cast Members will make sure that you get to the next step of your adventure safely, which in this case does look like it could be the beginning of your Jeep ride! Some details of excursions are always flexible to allow for the ship's arrival, traffic, and other factors, so we aren't able to say exactly where you'll be picked up that day. But your Disney crew will take great care of you as they get you to the pickup point!
In exploring the details of your excursion, I see that you'll enjoy a scenic ride to a few different stops in an open-air Jeep before boarding a lovely catamaran to chase the horizon. It looks like you may stop at a beach for a swim, so I'd recommend wearing your swimming suits under some breezy island wear for your trip! It also looks like you'll be out in the sun a lot, so make sure that you take hats, sunglasses, and sunscreen along with you. I've been sunburned on a cruise and it is not an experience I recommend!
You may also have the chance to walk around and explore the sites you visit in the Jeep, so some good, water-friendly walking shoes will be very important. One of the secret weapons in my cruise backpack is waterproof bandages—salty ocean water doesn't feel good on a scratch or blister! I also like to carry a small amount of cash for gratuities when we experience great service from our guides. Of course, don't forget ID for anyone over 18 and your Key to the World cards so that you can rejoin the ship at the end of your tour!
As one last tip, did you know that
most items through room service are complimentary on Disney Cruise Line? My favorite thing to do after a day of adventuring is to come back to our stateroom and order some snacks (there's a fruit and cheese plate that absolutely hits the spot) while we relax and get cleaned up for our evening activities. Since your tour leaves fairly early in the morning, you can also use room service to have a light breakfast delivered to your room that morning! Just use the card in your stateroom to place your order the evening before. Room service gratuities are also at your discretion and may be paid in cash or added to your onboard account.
I am so excited for you to officially be a member of the Castaway Club, Stacey!
Please send me a note if you have more questions about your cruise, and I'll get back to you just as quickly as I can. I'm wishing you a truly magical voyage!
Keep moving forward!
Amanda
