Hi Karen! Welcome to planDisney.
I just returned from a Walt Disney World Resort vacation, and my family was lucky enough to see
Happily Ever After's return at Magic Kingdom Park! I was sobbing the happiest tears watching that gorgeous show with a cheering crowd - it just felt so good to stand on Main Street, U.S.A. and feel the magic again. I see you will be there in just a few weeks, and I'm so very excited for you to feel it too!
At this time,
Fireworks Dessert Parties remain paused, and we haven't heard an announcement about their return. Like you, my husband is very eager for our family to experience one in Magic Kingdom Park - we did the
Star Wars: A Galactic Spectacular Dessert Party in 2018 and loved everything about it. I'm sending the sparkliest pixie dust your way that we get an announcement soon!
My advice is to read the
Disney Parks Blog for the latest news and updates. They're a great source for official announcements about the theme parks and resorts, and I love reading for their planning tips and foodie features. It's also a good idea to keep an eye on the
Returning to a World of Magic webpage so you can be aware of any operational changes in the days leading up to your vacation.
Karen, when we watched Happily Ever After there were plenty of Guests making their own fireworks dessert party with treats from the Main Street Cinema or popcorn, cotton candy, and pretzels from popcorn carts. My family had a party with drinks and treats from the
Main Street Bakery - Disney, coffee, and cupcakes are some of my favorite things, and having them all in one place was pretty fantastic!
Thanks for stopping by, and have a BLAST (see what I did there) at Walt Disney World!
Wishing you a magical vacation,
Robyn
