Hi Melissa,
We’ve often done a “split stay” during our visits to Walt Disney World Resort, because it means that we get to stay in two different Walt Disney World Resort hotels, all in the same vacation! To get from
Disney’s Pop Century Resort to
Disney’s Port Orleans Resort - Riverside using Disney Transportation, just go to any one of the four Theme Parks or Disney Springs and switch to a bus that is heading to Riverside. You don’t even have to head directly to your new Resort - simply enjoy your morning at your pace and then head over to Riverside either if you want to enjoy your new Resort’s amenities (like its pool!) or closer to the
official check-in time at 3:00 PM.
As for your luggage, when you and your family are checking out of Disney’s Pop Century Resort, simply bring it to Bell Services and tell them that you’re checking out and heading to Disney’s Port Orleans Resort - Riverside. They’ll automagically send your luggage over to your new Resort, which means that you’re free to spend the day enjoying your vacation, instead of hauling your luggage from place to place!
One small caveat, however: sometimes it can take a fair bit of time for your things to get from one Resort to another. Make sure to bring all essentials with you or, if you’re really worried, take a cab from your first Resort to your second one, along with all of your luggage, and then store it at Bell Services before you head back out for the day.
Please don’t hesitate to come back and see us if you have any other questions!
Have a Magical Day,
Lynne
