Hi Jayme!
I am so glad you stopped by with your question before heading to sea with Captain Mickey for a fun and unforgettable adventure! If you haven’t downloaded the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator app to you smartphone, go ahead and do it so you can set your Cruise Countdown clock. Watch those days tick away and before you know it, your adventure will be here!
To simply answer your question -- yes -- on port days, the Oceaneer Club and/or Lab will be open and available for you to drop your children off to play while you enjoy some time sans kiddos! My kids always enjoy playing in there on port days and I love spending some time at the adult pool when the ship is not quite so busy! But, I also use these opportunites to take advantage of the fewer Guests onboard and ride one of my favorites – the
AquaDuck! There will also be other scheduled activities during port days; check the Daily Navigator or the app for the day's schedule.
Just a consideration you may want to think about for the day when the ship is Nassau – pretty close to the port where the ship docks, there is a fun little market with lots of souvenir type items as well as a fun food market that my family enjoys walking through. We will usually spend a short amount of time walking around the area close to the port and then head back for some leisurely time onboard. Since everything is very close to the ship it makes it very easy to do some quick exploring!
Please come back with any other questions you have as your planning continues for your adventure at sea!
Happy Sailing!
Stephanie
