Ahoy Christine –
Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, and may we congratulate you on planning a first time cruise on the
Disney Magic! And oh boy, what a big pirate crew you have! I absolutely love it, and I know that your crew will enjoy their time as well. The Magic is a beautiful ship that has been Reimagined with unique new spaces and experiences for families like Marvel's Avengers Academy in the Oceaneer Club, the AquaDunk water slide and Carioca’s fine dining. Upon arrival to the port, I suggest that you read the Personal Navigator cover to cover in order to plan a fantastic first day. You can also download it to your personal apple or android device. Since your sea pups have such a wide range of ages, the Personal Navigator will be essential to planning an enjoyable day for everyone.
Not to be missed for sure will be Character Meet and Greets with our beloved Disney friends, Pirate Night to dance and swashbuckle the night away, the Broadway style shows every evening, and a trip to Palo for the adults in the group for fine dining.
Packing lists should include cruise casual wear, pirate gear, swim wear, and optional dress up clothing for Palo or dinner as well as medicines, sunscreen and baby care items. Most of your meals will be cruise casual dress with the exception of Pirate Night and an Optional Dress Up Night.
Your sea pups will love the activity centers like It’s a Small World Nursery, Oceaneer Club, Vibe and Edge. You will sign them up online prior to the cruise and the younger ones will get a magic band that allows entrance to the clubs. Since you are stopping in the Bahamas, a trip to the Atlantis Aquaventure would satisfy all ages in your group. Christine, we are so happy that you stopped by to visit us here and we wish you happy planning!
