how are you doing Chris? My parents and i are trying to figure out what would be the cheapest thing to do for our 1st family vacation. should we get a vacation package or book our rms since we are traveling? My father is also retired military.

    Hi Trey!
Thanks for your question! I am doing great, and I appreciate you writing to me directly. I hope to steer you in the right direction.
First, I am not a big fan of "packages" as they usually contain benefits that are of little use to me. That said, it is important to at least get a price on a package and compare it to how much the trip would cost "a la carte" (everything separate). Look at www.waltdisneyworld.com for current specials and promotions, and make sure to call and ask for any additional deals...Cast Members will not offer any information, but will answer you if you ask directly.
In addition, since your Dad is retired military, there may be a good deal to be had by booking at Shades of Green.
With a little bit of legwork and patience, you and your parents are sure to find a plan that suits your needs AND budget.
Let me know how it goes, and if I can help further, please come on back and ask away.
    I wish you a Magical vacation!! :)
    Chris
