Howdy, Carmen! Thanks for bringing your question to planDisney!
You'll be glad to know that
character dining has indeed returned to the Disneyland Resort! The
Minnie and Friends - Breakfast in the Park at the Plaza Inn has long been a favorite meal of mine because of all the neat characters you get to see! Breakfast is typically held from park opening until 11:00 a.m. and you will enjoy a bountiful breakfast buffet. You will also meet Minnie as you enter and a few other friends may stop by for a socially-distanced hello.
Storytellers Cafe in Disney's Grand California Hotel and Spa also hosts a character breakfast and character brunch on the weekends. Mickey’s Tales of Adventure Breakfast Buffet is held daily from 7:00 a.m. to 10:55 a.m. and the brunch option is on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays from 11:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Although Mickey and his pals won't visit individual tables or sign autograph books at this time, there are still a lot of smiles and scrumptious food to be had during this meal!
Rounding out the character dining options at the Disneyland Resort are
Goofy's Kitchen at the Disneyland Hotel and the
Disney Princess Breakfast Adventures at Napa Rose in Disney's Grand Californian Hotel and Spa. Goofy's Kitchen stays true to its name with all the fun and frivolity that only Goofy can provide and food that is sure to please all kids and the young at heart. Goofy's Kitchen not only offers a character breakfast, but a character dinner as well. The
Disney Princess Breakfast Adventures is a princess-lover's dream come true! This fantastical meal features oodles of princesses and breakfast fare fit for royalty.
Advanced dining reservations for character meals are strongly recommended and can be made up to 60 days in advance online or on the Disneyland app. Keep in mind that, at this time, the character experiences at these meals are modified for safety and health measures.
I hope you have a deliciously delightful time at the Disneyland Resort!
