Hi Leslie!
How exciting to hear that you'll be sailing with Captain Mickey in the
north east next year. That setting will be so beautiful, I'm sure you'll have great pictures and wonderful memories just waiting to be made.
Before you set sail out of New York, double check that you have your
travel documents ready for each and every member of your family. Once you disembark and visit Canadian ports, port authorities will be there to help process your documents to enter the country. The night before you reach your 1st port of call, the Cruise Director will usually give reminders on what to expect - he or she will usually spend a few minutes at the theater (before or after the evening show) to go through these. So, if you've got a port adventure planned for the following day - just make sure you're at the onboard meeting place on time. The cast members will also check that you have your Passport, ID and Key to World Card with you before they lead you out to the gangway. You'll need to go through Canadian Customs in and out of the port. In previous voyages, Disney Cruise Line would even arrange to have the Customs officials come onboard that morning to help process guests in the theater -- just to facilitate the disembarkation process at each port. They make it very comfortable for guests, especially families traveling with children.
I hope this information helps, Leslie. Please do let us know if you have any other questions that we can help with.
Have a great day!
~ Dolly
