Hi Susanne!
Thank you for sending this
Disneyland Resort planning question to us hEAR at planDisney!
One of the things Uncle Walt said about his theme park is that it would never be done growing and changing. Sadly that sometimes means that once beloved
attractions,
dining locations, or services have to depart so the new ideas can have their place. We recently lEARned that the Disneyland Kennel will not be reopening after it closed with the rest of the resort during the pandemic pause. As a very over-the-top dog mom myself (our fur-baby was the 'Best Dog' at our wedding, and he has a dog stroller so he can go to places that are people-y), I know how convenient the kennel was. However, there are still several local kennels, boarding facilities, and doggy daycares in the Anaheim area. Some Guests have even found one-on-one pet sitters to hang out with their furry, hairy, squeaky, squawky, and slithery pals at their pet-friendly
Disneyland Good Neighbor hotel. A few good websites to look for individual as well as group pet care in the area are bringfido.com, rover.com, and even care.com.
Pro Tip: While not as convenient, if you do need to leave mid-day to check on your best pal, remember that
Theme Park Parking at both the Parking Structures as well as the Toy Story Lot is all-day, meaning you can come and go as often as you wish for that
one daily rate!
Bonus Tip: Just because you can't bring them to The Happiest Place on Earth anymore doesn't mean you can't bring them a Disney treat! Look for all kinds of fun finds from the
Disney Tails and Pet Essentials collections (like this
Grim Grinning Ghosts pull toy!) to
people-and-pet matching outfits!
I'm so sorry that I didn't have better news to share, Susanne. Be sure to follow the
