Hi there, Kathleen,
I’m glad you are looking out for the well-being of your furry friend while you visit the Disneyland Resort. I’m happy to give you my take on how to make this the best possible experience for both you and your dog.
If you are staying at a
Disneyland Resort Hotel where pets are not allowed or if your dog specifically needs available support from a qualified caretaker, I recommend
calling the Disneyland Resort information line to request a recommendation. Or you may try doing an internet search for an overnight boarding kennel near the Disneyland Resort, ZIP code 92802. There are multiple nearby accommodations with high reviews.
If your precious pooch mostly needs a quiet, safe place to rest while you are experiencing the Disneyland Resort theme parks and you don’t already have hotel accommodations, I recommend choosing from among the various
Disneyland Resort Good Neighbor Hotels. Several Good Neighbor Hotels
allow Guests to bring their pets along with them during their stay. If you plan to stay at one of these participating Good Neighbor Hotels, I recommend calling the hotel directly to confirm the availability of pet-friendly rooms and to inquire about any applicable pet fees.
The advantage of the pet-friendly Good Neighbor Hotel option is that many of these hotels are located very near the Disneyland Resort. For example, we recently stayed at
Residence Inn Marriott at Anaheim Resort Convention Center and noticed a few other Guests boarded their dogs with them at the hotel while they visited the parks. Since hotels like this one are so close to the theme parks, it is convenient to return to your hotel room as often as needed to tend to feedings, walks, outdoor pet relief breaks, and other necessary canine care.
Tony’s Tip: Be sure to browse the shops while you are at the Disneyland Resort. Many stores feature the Disney Tails line of products for pets. I imagine your dear dog would love a new toy, harness, or other fun gift as a reward for being so good while you experience The Happiest Place on Earth!
I hope you and your dog have a magical time at the Disneyland Resort, Kathleen!
