Hiya Amara,
Welcome to planDisney! As someone who has way too much Disney merchandise in her life, I am a massive fan of
Disney Springs. I love strolling around, looking in the shops, and snacking on delicious treats. Do yourself a favor and check out
Salt and Straw during your visit! Their elevated gourmet ice cream is fantastic and an adventure for the senses.
Speaking of incredible, dogs are the absolute best. Their capacity for empathy and loyalty makes them perfect support animals. I have seen service animals at Walt Disney World Resort and pets at designated pet-friendly Walt Disney World Resort Collection Hotels, so I wanted to check in on what is permitted. According to the
Walt Disney World Resort Property rules, emotional support, comfort, or companion animals do not meet the criteria for service animals and thus are prohibited. Despite being mostly outdoors, Disney Springs can get very crowded and can overwhelm animals without service training, so this keeps dogs safe.
I’m really sorry I don’t have better news, Amara. As I mentioned, Disney Springs does tend to get crowded and overwhelming during peak times, at least for me. I like to head to the Town Center and rest in the chairs with a DOLE Whip by Guest Services when I need a little break from the magical chaos. It is definitely not a replacement for an emotional support animal, but having a plan in case you need a place to reset might make you feel more comfortable going.
Please come back and see us if you need anything else!
Happy Planning,
Ashley F.
