There doesn't seem to be much info on Med Cruises. My daughter and I are going on the Magic Aug 28. When we arrive in Barcelona will we have time for an excursion or do we have to go straight to the cruise

    Hi Sandra,

Welcome to the Moms Panel!  This is a great question, and I am envious of your upcoming  voyage.  Having not been myself, I enlisted the help of my Moms Panel friend, Kim because she recently returned from her Mediterranean cruise.

She said that the transatlantic flights typically arrive in Barcelona in the morning, and the ship doesn't sail until 9:30 p.m.  This allows for plenty of time for a shore excursion, but she cautioned against pre-booking simply because you may find yourselves exhausted from your travels and ready to simply explore the ship and relax for awhile.  It is also worth mentioning that although the ship doesn't set sail until 9:30 p.m., all guests are required to be present for the 4:00 p.m. lifeboat drill onboard, and the Sail-Away Celebration begins at 4:30.

I hope this was helpful, have a great time!
