Ahoy there, Matthew! Thanks for sailing our way here at planDisney!
I'm sorry some rough seas on the phone lines have given you trouble while trying to contact Disney Cruise Line! With summer 2023 itineraries being released a bit later than usual, combined with the all new
Disney Wish, there is sure to be a shipload of Guests looking to board the website and phone lines all at once!
When it comes to the phone lines, I know the crew members have been doing their absolute best, but I totally understand the frustration of being unable to get through - it's a good thing that music never gets old! Joking aside, the best advice I could give is to
try calling in at different times - I've had success first thing when the lines open in the morning at 8 a.m. Eastern as well as around 11 a.m. right when that "first batch" of Guests finishes their calls.
Just recently we had to call to add
Ground Transportation for our cruise later this year, and were on hold roughly two hours, after calling at around 8:30 a.m., Eastern time. when we did get through to a crew member, we were helped by someone amazing who was able to get everything squared away! It made the wait totally worth it. This was actually an improvement over the last time we called, when we were unable to even get put in a holding queue!
Oh, and when it comes to your emails, currently, the email response time has been close to 15 days or so in my experience, so for all urgent questions I do suggest calling, still!
I hope that helps you find the right heading to get on the right course to make berth for whichever port you're hoping to find, Matthew! Thank you so much for your question, and if you have any others that sail over the horizon as you continue planning please drop another message in a bottle and send it my way! I'll be on the lookout for it!
Until then, I wish you fair winds and following seas!
Andrew
