Hi there, Janet,Welcome to planDisney. As we approach the semiquincentennial of the United States of America, it's exciting to see the many ways that Disney Parks, including the Disney Cruise Line, are planning to celebrate the milestone and also honor the members of the US military, who tirelessly strive to maintain the freedoms we have enjoyed for nearly 250 years. I'm glad you are asking for clarification on eligibility for special rates and offers available to members of the military. It's good to make sure of what to expect before we get deep into the cruise booking process. The Disney Cruise Line currently offers Special US Military Rates to "Eligible Service Members" in alignment with eligibility for similar types of US Military offers available at the Disneyland Resort and the Walt Disney World Resort. This applies to both retired and active US military personnel and their spouses, including members of the National Guard, Reservists, the US Coast Guard, the US Space Force, and the Commissioned Corps of the Public Health Service (PHS) or the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA). Veterans who are 100% service-connected disabled are also eligible. Here are forms of ID that may be used to verify eligibility for the Disney Military Promotional Tickets and promotional cruise fares and offers:
Department of Defense employees and others may be eligible for Special US Military Rates if they also fall into one of the categories of Eligible Service Members described on the Disney Cruise Line site and have a valid form of qualifying ID to verify their eligibility. There are still savings opportunities for other Guests as well! The Disney Cruise Line Special Offers are updated frequently. You and other lucky Florida friends may be interested in the current offer of up to 35% savings on select sailings for Florida residents. I'd constantly be stalking that site if I lived closer to Port Canaveral or Fort Lauderdale! Thanks again for this question, Janet. If you're like my family, I'm guessing you are also eager to see "Where Magic Meets the Sea." We just recently disembarked from the Disney Treasure. But we are already counting the days until our next sailing on the amazing Disney Wonder. And we are making plans for converting the placeholder booking we made while on board to save 10% on another magical cruise in the future.Have a magical time, Janet!~Tony
