Hi Rose!
I am so thrilled for your upcoming
Westbound Transatlantic sailing! My family just took the beautiful Disney Magic eastbound to Europe and had the most incredible time! We LOVE sea days, so it was perfect for us and we loved the fun added scavenger hunts and sea day activities!
When you
arrive at the port for embarkation, you will want to have your passports as well as your cruise booklet and Port Arrival form that you print when you complete your online check-in. The cruise booklet will arrive in the mail approximately three weeks prior to your sail date and it includes information about your cruise as well as your luggage tags. I suggest waiting to affix the luggage tags to your luggage once you arrive at the port so that they do not get damaged or accidentally removed! I also recommend bringing a day bag with you that you can carry on any important medications, documents and any other “must haves” in the event your luggage doesn’t make its way to your stateroom until later that day! For us, that means swim suits as my boys love hitting the pool as soon as we get onboard!
Make sure you have the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator app downloaded to your smartphone before you head to Dover for embarkation. You will find it very helpful onboard to access schedules, menus and even chat with other cruisers while onboard. With lots of things going on during the Transatlantic sailings, having a schedule at arms reach is very handy!
I know you will have a MAGICal time at sea bringing the beautiful Disney Magic back to New York with Captain Mickey!
Happy Sailing!
Stephanie
