Ahoy, Glenda! Welcome to planDisney. I'm so glad you came by as you prepare for your time aboard
Disney Cruise Line. Making sure you have everything in order for smooth sailing at check-in helps you start your vacation with a worry-free philosophy!
I know you specifically asked about the documents required at the port, but I will start with
online check-in for a full picture of the process.
Starting 30 to 40 days before your cruise (depending on your
Castaway Club level), you can start your cruise check-in process and select your Port Arrival Time. For this, you will need: photos of your
proof of citizenship, headshots for each member of your stateroom, as well as additional information, including the payment method you wish to use for onboard charges and your travel plans before and after the cruise. The photos of your party are used for security and identification on board the ship. They should be each person pictured alone, with shoulders up, a plain background, and no distractions, such as a hat.
One of the last check-in tasks is picking the time to arrive at the port. It is the happiest moment, knowing your cruise is so close on the horizon! When everything is done, you will have the option to add your Port Arrival Form to your digital wallet or have it emailed to you. (I do both, but I have always used the pass in my phone without issue.)
When you arrive at the port, you will be asked for your Port Arrival Form and citizenship documents. There are additional requirements for specific situations, such as when a minor travels without a parent or legal guardian. It's always helpful to review the
information needed at check-in to make sure you have everything for your travel party.
I am so excited for you, thinking about these last items on your to-do list. With your check-in complete, it's time for the magical "Welcome Aboard!" and your adventure at sea! If you have any other questions,
planDisney is always happy to help!
Magic Awaits!
