what documentation is required for minors?

    Ahoy, Daryl!

Welcome aboard the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I'm so glad you sailed over to ask this excellent question. Disney Cruises are packed with fun and adventure on every deck! I love sailing to exotic places with Captain Mickey at the helm!

It's extremely important that you and your family have the correct documentation before setting sail. Currently, children who are U.S. citizens, traveling with their parents on Disney Cruise Line itineraries that are leaving from and returning to the same U.S. port, need to bring a state-issued birth certificate as their proof of citizenship. Definitely review the Passports & Travel Documentation information before embarkation day.

I highly suggest considering getting a passport for everyone in your family. There are so many benefits to having passports while cruising! Should there be an unexpected emergency while visiting another country, you will be able to fly home with a valid passport. My entire family has passports and it gives me piece of mind that we'd be able to safely return home in an emergency.
