Ahoy, Debi! Welcome aboard planDisney! Thanks for cruising this great question our way!
I like the way you think!
The Disney Dream is one of my favorite ships. In 2024, she underwent a 28-day dry dock refurbishment, and everything feels new, fresh, and shipshape! She boasts the classic red, white, and blue
stateroom décor, and I love the timeless nautical style that makes you feel like you are truly at sea.
I am not quite sure whether you are looking at a 2026 or 2027 sailing since summer 2027 itineraries are now open for booking, so I will happily cover both options. That said, I think 2026 may be the one you are eyeing, since in 2027 there is a sailing that includes August 28, but it does not depart on that date.
On August 28, 2026, the Disney Dream sets sail from Southampton, England on a
three-night cruise that includes a port day in Zeebrugge, Belgium, the gateway to Brussels, along with one of our absolute favorites, an at sea day! This itinerary is perfect for truly enjoying the ship, whether that means lounging poolside, tasting your way around the dining venues, or soaking up the ocean breezes as the Dream makes her way across the water. My husband served in the US Navy, so at sea days always bring back fond memories of his adventures abroad!
In 2027, the Disney Dream departs on August 27 for a
three-night Bahamian cruise from Port Canaveral, Florida, with stops in Nassau, Bahamas, and Disney’s private island,
Disney Castaway Cay! This is one of our families favorite itineraries and one we have enjoyed several times. The crystal clear blue water, combined with the colorful marine life waiting just beneath the surface, along with some special surprises you will only find at Disney’s private island, makes snorkeling there an unforgettable experience and a true fan favorite!
Debi, no matter which sailing you choose, you are charting a course toward fun, adventure, and lifelong memories aboard a Disney Cruise Line vacation!
Bon Voyage!
