Hi Nicholas!
Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I am so excited to hEAR you’ve booked a...shhh..it's a surprise...Disney Cruise Line vacation for your family! You are going to have the most
WONDERful time aboard the Disney Wonder making some incredible memories.
I LOVE that this is a surprise for your wife! My husband loves to surprise me by booking a Disney Cruise Line vacation, and as much as he tries to keep it a secret for long, he just can’t! I can usually tell that something is up, and I start prying and typically get him to spill the beans before he wants to!
I will warn you, you will likely get some sort of piece of mail ahead of receiving your “Mickey Mail” which is your cruise documentation booklet and luggage tags – but those don’t come until closer to your voyage. But, many times we have received a “hey, you’re going on a Disney Cruise” type piece after booking a cruise. Unfortunately, I cannot say exactly when it will come as it’s all somewhat sporadic, it seems. So, my recommendation would be to either confiscate the mailbox key, get a P.O. Box and have all your mail forwarded there – or the easiest thing might be to contact Disney Cruise Line at (800) 951-3532 and changing your address with them to maybe an office or family member’s home. Then any Disney Cruise Line correspondence can go to that address reducing the risk of a spoiled surprise!
I am so glad you stopped by with this question – and I hope you can keep the cruise a surprise for longer than my husband can! But, in the meantime, make a note on your calendar for 75 days prior to your sail date which is when your Online Check-In and onboard booking window opens! I know you want to book some special events and this will be when you can do so!
