DM & DD leaving for our 10th WDW vacation in 25 days! This will be our first time on the DCL. What kind of weather can we expect for the cruise? Warm enough for swimsuits? Also, any thoughts on the Discover Atlantis excursion? Thanks!

    Hi, Dana!

Congratulations on your upcoming cruise aboard a Disney Cruise Line ship -- you're going to wonder why you've never sailed with Mickey before now!

You can expect temperatures in the Bahamas to still be quite warm -- staying in the mid-to-upper 80s (F).  I have swum at Castaway Cay in December and January!  Yet, the water temperatures do start getting a little cooler than in the summer months. You'll want to check with our friends over at Weather.com for the latest on conditions where you're going before you pack or sail.

The Discover Atlantis Port Adventure is a great tour of the beautiful Atlantis Resort on Paradise Island. Yet, it doesn't give you access to the many pools, beaches or the Aquaventure (Water Park). Therefore, my advice is always to splurge for one of the animal encounters or the water park experience to get a full taste of all the resort has to offer.

Have a wonderful day and a magical vacation. Bon voyage!
