When you enter the
theme park reservations system online, you are asked to select which of the valid linked tickets in your Disney account you want to use to make your reservation, and only the days available based on your ticket type can be chosen. For that reason, you’re not able to reserve a date that is blocked out for your theme park ticket tier. At this time, ticket upgrades in the online purchasing system and
Disneyland mobile app aren’t an option, so the best plan would be to reserve a day that’s available for the ticket tier you have.
Generally, you can only upgrade your existing
theme park ticket to a ticket type or tier of greater value by visiting a Disneyland Resort Main Entrance Ticket Booth in person. You’re welcome to call (714) 781-4636 to speak with a Cast Member, however. Explain the situation and ask if you can possibly upgrade your ticket before arriving due to the circumstances. You can also consider purchasing a Tier 3 ticket to use now and save the original ticket for another visit. Even if an unused ticket expires, the amount you paid for it can be used as credit to purchase a new one at the current price.
