Hi Amy! Welcome back to planDisney! With each planning question you send, I'm getting more excited for you to visit The Happiest Place on Earth for the first time!
I have to warn you that choosing just one
nighttime spectacular is like trying to choose only one Disney snack! If somehow you can fit all of them into your schedule, I highly recommend seeing every single one! If you are only able to choose one dining event for a nighttime spectacular, I'm partial to the
World of Color Dessert Party or a
World of Color Dining Package.
World of Color is an incredible water wonder that will take you on a 22-minute emotional journey filled with Disney animation and favorite songs. It's so nice to have a reserved spot to see this and there's just nothing quite like this carousel of color! If you want to reserve the dessert party, you can do this 60 days before your arrival date. If you prefer a dining package, you must make a reservation at either
Wine Country Trattoria or
Storytellers Cafe and then tell your server you would like to take advantage of the World of Color Dining Package. One thing to keep in mind is that the dining packages are limited each day and are not guaranteed.
Your timing is great because there happens to be a dining experience that can include fireworks viewing when they are on display. The
Tomorrowland Skyline Lounge Experience is returning this week! This unique vantage point provides really special views of
Disneyland Park at night and you can make reservations for this dinner package 60 days prior to your arrival. I would suggest planning your dinner reservation to be within approximately one hour or less of the start of the fireworks. If you decide not to choose this dining package, I highly recommend watching
Disneyland Forever from Main Street, U.S.A. Our family's favorite spot is to view it from the middle of the street in front of
Gibson Girl Ice Cream Parlor. While we are waiting for the fireworks to start, I place a
Mobile Food & Beverage Order using the
Disneyland Mobile app so that we can enjoy ice cream once the fireworks end! It's the perfect way to end a Disneyland day!
As you are continuing to plan your first visit, please feel free to send us more questions. We're always happy to help you plan all of the magical details at
