Is the DLR 70th Anniversary Celebration tour going to be available for booking for October 2025 or is it suspended during Halloween season? Does it get a 60-day advanced booking window?

    Hi Maurine,

Welcome back to planDisney! Thank you for continuing to trust us with your vacation planning questions. A guided tour is a fantastic way to discover even more Disneyland details and enjoy some fascinating Disney history and stories along the way. I personally haven’t experienced a Disneyland tour… yet! But many of my fellow panelists absolutely rave about them.

At the moment, Disneyland is not offering the Main Street Story Tour, but there are a couple of other exciting options available during the month of October.

One current offering is the “A Story of Celebration” Tour, designed to commemorate Disneyland’s 70th Anniversary. This 2-hour guided experience includes a ride on the Mark Twain Riverboat and a trip on the Disneyland Railroad, plus reserved viewing for the Paint the Night Parade. While Disney hasn’t announced whether this tour will pause during the holiday season, I checked today and saw tour availability as far out as October 12th. Fingers crossed that it’s still running during your visit! As you mentioned, be sure to book within your 60-day window to secure your spot on this historic tour.

Did you know that Disneyland also offers a seasonal “Happiest Haunts Tour”? This Halloween-themed 2-hour tour is full of spooky fun and includes Lightning Lane entry to Haunted Mansion Holiday, reserved viewing for Halloween Screams, and a photo op with the animatronic Witch from Snow White (tour offerings subject to change). This tour is a real treat for any fan of Disney villains and spooky storytelling. It's expected to run from August 23rd through October 31st (dates subject to change), so your October visit could be the perfect time to experience it. Just like with other tours, be sure to book as soon as your date becomes available; this one is sure to be popular!

I hope this helps you decide which magical experience fits best with your trip, Maurine! If you have any more questions or need more pixie-dusted planning tips, feel free to reach out to me or any of my fellow planDisney panelists. We love helping guests make the most of their Disney days.

    Have a magical vacation!
